Healthcomp Evaluation Services Announces Management Appointments

SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2001--Healthcomp Evaluation Services Corporation (HESc) (OTCBB:HCEV), a national provider of healthcare data management and occupational health services, today announced a number of management changes to support expansion and delivery of its wide array of health screening products and services.

HESc announced that John F. Thomas, the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has decided to retire after nurturing the Company's growth during the past five years. Mr. Thomas will remain active as a consultant to assist the Company in furthering the development of its substance abuse TPA business. At the same time, Martin J. Clegg has been named to replace Mr. Thomas as the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

The Company also announced that it has named Harry J. Chororos as Senior Vice President-Sales & Marketing and Derrick K. Johnson as Senior Vice President-Information Management and Consulting Services.

Prior to joining HESc, Mr. Chororos, 47, was the head of Business Development for U.S. HealthWorks, Inc., a leading provider of clinic-based occupational health services. He had earlier directed the Occupational Health Operations of HealthSouth Corporation and has broad experience in occupational health, insurance and health management services. Reporting to Mr. Chororos will be all corporate and field sales managers, product managers and marketing-support functions.

Mr. Johnson, 37, joins the Company from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway where he was in charge of that company's industrial hygiene department. Prior to working with the railroad, he spent many years as a consultant with a number of corporations, including AT&T Corp., Texas Instruments Incorporated and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Johnson will have responsibility for the Company's Industrial Hygiene and Safety Consulting operations and for its Information Services product offerings.
